HIP Investor’s rapidly growing Investor Roundtable Series brings together investors, entrepreneurs, practitioners and students every month to highlight innovation, transformation and opportunities in various industries. Through speakers and discussion, the Roundtables address how companies simultaneously solve customer needs, benefit the environment, and make money for investors.
HIP Investor is seeking a talented intern to join the Investor Roundtable team in the areas of industry research, marketing and event planning. We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, motivated, and entrepreneurial. HIP is a small, innovative company where each team member plays an integral role in our development.
This internship may include any combination of the following responsibilities:
1) Research the exciting happenings in various industries – determine the leaders, evaluate approaches using our unique HIP methodology and find the quantitative statistics to support sustainability
2) Contribute to HIP’s marketing and outreach plans – identify strategic on- and offline places to market Investor Roundtables
3) Co-develop and launch a Roundtable Webinar series to expand HIP’s reach beyond the Bay Area
4) Support event planning – manage logistics with corporate partners, communicate with attendees, prepare materials and more
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Strong internet research background and experience
· Excellent communication (writing, interviewing and interpersonal) skills
· Comfort and experience working with social online media
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Commit 10-15 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated interest through coursework, previous employment or volunteer activities in business, socially responsible investing, and/or sustainable business and investing
· Experience and/or interest in marketing and event planning
· Entrepreneurial experience and/or spirit is a major advantage!
· Ability to meet frequently in San Francisco
