Position title: Marketing Events Associate
Starting date: Immediately
Time Commitment: Part Time, 20 hours. Unpaid Internship
Experience Level: Entry Level
Duration: February, March, April, May 2010
Summary of the position: This position is responsible for contributing to both the promotional activities and the events of the marketing department. This position plays a central role in coordinating and managing the upcoming HIP Book launch events and CEO’s ongoing speaking engagements.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Manage all logistical aspects of Road Show, and other HIP speaking engagements (developing a cities tour road map, booking locations, invitations, onsite logistics)
- Manage events calendar
- Evaluate and recommend speaking opportunities in target cities
- Manage/Develop appropriate materials (invites, blogs announcements, poster)
- Coordinate timelines, and logistics with co-host (before, during and after the event) including RSVP management, accommodations, and catering
- On-site event coordination
- Manage/track event promotion campaign on social networks such as Facebook, or Youtube
- Be the gate keeper for internal communication on all MKTG related activities
- Some travel required
Special considerations
- Good organizational skills, multi-tasking
- 2+ years of event management experience (a plus)
- Resourceful, creative and strategic
Education Requirements: BS, BA, minimum. Self started seeking awesome experience is a fast pace, trend setting environment.
